Hoy es día de reseña y en esta ocasión voy a platicarles de la nueva producción de un gran guitarrista de origen canadiense que comienza a darse a conocer alrededor del mundo por su gran talento y sonidos innovadores, Mike Milan Dedic.

Este EP homónimo (Mike Milan Dedic) nos envuelve con un gran sonido progresivo con ritmos melódicos llenos de técnica que no puedes sacarte de la cabeza desde la primera vez que los escuchas; la producción cuenta con 5 canciones instrumentales que te deleitarán desde el primer minuto y, aunque a muchas personas no les gustan las canciones instrumentales, estas 5 piezas te permitirán apreciar los ritmos y solos de la guitarra para disfrutar al máximo cada segundo de este gran talento.

Today is review day and this time I will write about the new material of a great Canadian guitar player that is gaining fans from all over the world thanks to his great talent and his innovative sounds: Mike Milan Dedic.

This self-titled EP (Mike Milan Dedic) surrounds us with an amazing Progressive sound with melodic rhythms full of technique that will be stucked in your head once you listen to them. The EP has 5 instrumental songs that will please your ears, and although many people doesn´t like instrumental songs, these 5 metal creations will let you appreciate all guitar riffs and solos to enjoy this great material.

Today is review day and this time I’m gonna present you a band from San Jose, California with a great sound that will make you become a fan instantly: Angerhead.

Angerhead, formed on 2011, is a band of four talented musicians that in their first few years have called metalheads attention thanks to their combination of Thrash, Punk and Hardcore sounds to create songs full of energy and powerful rhythms that will destroy your headphones and, with that sound that reminds us of Hatebreed, it is impossible not to headbang with every riff and beat.

The band, formed by Paul Hastey (Vocals), Eric Beard (Guitar), Jim Pegram (Bass) and David O’ Neal (Drums), has two EP’s (Angerhead and Headful of Hate) that need to be on your playlists because you won´t stop listening to them. Great guitar riffs full of speed and technique, bass riffs that will resound on your head, drum beats that will make you shake your head and growls full of ferocity; all these combined “infect” your body with metal energy to headbang all day.

In their first few years the band has shared shows with great bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Soulfly, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Static X among others. This shows us that the band has an enormous potential to be one of the greatest Hardcore bands on the metal scene and if they continue this way there is no doubt that will be on big festivals like Wacken Open air or Knotfest.

Hoy es día! día! día de reseña y en esta ocasión voy a presentarles una banda de San José, California con un gran sonido que hará fan de la banda de manera inmediata, ellos son Angerhead.

Angerhead, formada en 2011, es una banda de cuatro talentosos músicos que en sus primeros años han llamado la atención de los metaleros alrededor del mundo gracias a su combinación de sonidos Thrash, Punk y Hardcore para crear canciones llenaos de energía y poderosos ritmos que destruirán tus audífonos y, con ese sonido que nos recuerda a Hatebreed, es imposible no matear con cada ritmo.

La banda, conformada por Paul Hastey (vocales), Eric Beard (guitarra), Jim Pegram (bajo) and David O’ Neal (batería), tiene dos EP  (Angerhead y Headful of Hate) que tienen que estar en tus listas de reproducción ya que no pararás de escucharlas; grandes ritmos de guitarra llenos de velocidad y técnica, ritmos de bajo que resonarán en tu cabeza, sonidos de batería que te harán mover la cabeza sin parar y unos guturales llenos de fiereza; y todo esto combinado “infectará” tu cuerpo con energía metalera con la que podrás matear todo el día.

En este poco tiempo que tienen como banda han compartido escenario con grandes bandas como Suicidal Tendencies, Soulfly, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Static X, entre otras y esto nos demuestra que la banda tiene un enorme potencial para estar entre las mejores bandas de Hardcore de la escena metalera y si continúan de esta manera no cabe duda que llegarán a tocar en festivales importantes como el Wacken Open air o el Knotfest.

Today is review day and I’m gonna present you a great band from San Antonio, Texas that is gaining fans from all over the world thanks to their fresh sound and enormous talent: Jessikill.

The Heavy Metal band enlightens us with a modern-classic mixed sound that brings Iron Maiden to our minds but with the impressive talent and style of Jessikill. Each song has an epic sound with very technical guitar riffs and solos that will make you play air guitar no matter where you are; fast drum beats that will make you headbang until your neck hurts; bass riffs that will fill your ears with an explosion of heavy metal, some keyboard sounds that create an awesome atmosphere for the songs and a breathtaking and powerful voice that will lead you through a valley of a high-pitched and melodic beauty. All this talent combined brings us their EP called Metal Knights, 6 songs that truly represents what Jessikill is.

The band is formed by Jessica Marie Espinoza (Lead Vocals), Arturo Alvarado (Bass/Vocals), Joey V (Guitar), Jyro Alejo (Lead Guitar/Keyboards) and Alan Cisneros (Drums).

The talent of these 5 great musicians has led them to be awarded as the “Best Metal Band”, the “Top Local Band of the Year” and the “Best Female Performer” at the 2016 SANA Awards; also, they have shared scenario with legendary international bands like Dio Disciples, Symphony X, Overkill, Riot, John 5 among others.

La banda de Heavy Metal nos deslumbra con un sonido que combina el metal moderno con el metal clásico que nos recuerda a Iron Maiden mezclado con el impresionante talento y estilo de Jessikill. REVISTA SLIDERS RESEÑA: MAXXXWELL CARLISLE

Para nosotros buena música y para muchas chicas todo un deleite, este sorprendente guitarrista de Heavy Metal y competidor de fisicoculturismo Maxxxwell McHugh Carlisle (Maxxxwell Carlisle) nació en Woodinville, un suburbio de Seattle, Washington. Estudió música en la escuela y empezó a los 8 años con el violín, luego siguió con el bajo y finalmente con la guitarra. A sus 15 años (1998) formó su primera banda llamada Graceful Chaos con la que lanza un LP y un álbum de larga duración, en 2004 se separa y tres años después se muda a Los Angeles, California, donde comienza su carrera como guitarrista y compositor. Muchos conocerán su trabajo en la banda Hellion, su proyecto como Solitario y como ex miembro de la banda Deathriders en donde participa el vocalista original de Anthrax, Neil Turbin.

Su notable carrera lo ha llevado a colaborar con grandes músicos como son: Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro), Tina Guo (Solistas y Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Tour), Sean Peck (Death Dealer, Cage) Ethan Brosh (Angels of Babylon), Neil Turbin (Anthrax), Nita Strauss (The Iron Maidens y Femme Fatale), Simon Wright (Dio, AC/DC), Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen y Tony Macalpine), Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock, Mistheria) y más.

Citando lo anterior, Maxxxwell ha logrado en los últimos años colocarse como un virtuoso en la guitarra, con un increíble nivel, su espíritu musical y su ingenio en cada nota nos envuelve en sonidos excitantes y tenaces, que podemos apreciar en su último EP "Full Metal Thunder" (2013) que inmediatamente tuvo una gran aceptación por parte de sus fans y críticos. Maxxxwell Carlisle

For us is good music, for many girls is a pleasure. This incredible Heavy Metal guitar player and bodybuilding competitor, Maxxxwell McHugh Carlisle (Maxxxwell Carlisle) born in Woodinville, one of Seattle suburbs, Washington. He studied music at school and at the age of 8 started to learn to play the violin, then he learned to play the bass and finally he learned to play the guitar. At the age of 15 (1998) formed his first band called Graceful Chaos with which he recorded an LP and an album; in 2004 he left the band and moved to Los Angeles, California where he starts his career as guitar player and song writer. Many of you would know his work with the band Hellion, his solo career and his work with the band Deathriders in which former Anthrax Singer, Neil Turbin, participates.

His remarkably good career has led him to work with great musicians as: Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro), Tina Guo (Solo and Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Tour), Sean Peck (Death Dealer, Cage) Ethan Brosh (Angels of Babylon), Neil Turbin (Anthrax), Nita Strauss (The Iron Maidens and Femme Fatale), Simon Wright (Dio and AC/DC), Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen and Tony Macalpine), Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock, Mistheria) and more.

In recent years Maxxxwell  has achieved a great level of vituosity with the guitar and his musical spirit and ingenuity embrace us with exciting sounds that we can apreciate in his last EP called “Full Metal Thunder” (2013) that immediately had great acceptance from critics and from his fans. In my opinión, Maxxxwell has the talent to become a metal icon and his music can trascend this and new generations. I wish that his career will continue as energic and innovative as it is with a great sound; let´s hope to have him soon in Mexico so his mexican fans can enjoy his live show or so people can know this kind of projects which Revista Sliders will support.

Vivimos en una época donde el Hard Rock y el Heavy Metal retornan con fuerza y convicción, nacen nuevas bandas, nuevos músicos, nuevas ideas y una infinidad de grandes aspiraciones que fluyen en cada proyecto, para formar en conjunto grandes joyas musicales dentro de la escena del Metal. Hay una infinidad de bandas surgiendo a cada momento, pero son pocas las que dejan huella en nuestra vida; bandas que se cargan una gran trayectoria como Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Motörhead… hasta aquellas que se están ganando un lugar con su constancia y pasión, entre ellos puedo mencionar a Saurom, Warbringer, In This Moment y claro Diamond Lane.

La verdadera calidad en una banda está en su música, su fuerza y destreza; a veces solo les falta un poco de apoyo y difusión para que este sueño pueda hacerse grande, inclusivamente más de lo que ellos lograron imaginar.

Hoy me toca presentar a una banda que nace en Los Angeles, California; formada por sus líderes: Brandon Baumann (Vocalista) y Jarret Reis (Guitarra) en 2001 ellos empiezan no solo con un nuevo proyecto, si no con una moderna versión del Hard Rock y el Heavy Metal al que muchos de nosotros no estábamos acostumbrados, pero sin duda este giro llego con poder, coraje y determinación para integrarse a un sonido totalmente nuevo y aniquilador, que fue bien aceptado por el público que se ha mantenido fiel a su firma, ellos son Diamond Lane, a este proyecto se integran: Ray Zhang (Bajo), Frankie Lindia (Guitarra) y Dave Vandigitty (Batería).

En 2005 sale su CD Debut full-length “Cut to the Chase” formado por 10 canciones, en 2008 sacan su EP “Save This City” (que posee 4 canciones), en 2011 sacan otro CD Debut full-length llamado “World Without Heroes” donde empiezan a levantarse y ser reconocidos por su trabajo donde participan en diferentes festivales y a llenar conciertos (este material consta de 10 canciones) y en 2013 la banda establece una relación con la cadena de televisión FOX, que ha utilizado este disco para anuncios y promociones de la NBA, NFL y UFC donde son considerados Artista del Mes en Fox Sports. En este mismo año sacan un EP titulado “Sapphire”, donde realizan un vídeo musical que da título al disco; reciben buenas críticas por los medios de comunicación y es aclamado por sus fans (este EP está formado por 5 canciones). Es en el 2014 que esta banda nos presenta su nuevo material “Terrorizer” que cuenta con dos videoclips (“The Enemy” y "Cheating Death") donde el primero ganó un Top Pick en el Classic Rock Maganize, este CD recibe un gran apoyo y aceptación por parte del público; este fue un año excelente para Diamond Lane donde dejaron en claro que ellos están dispuestos a ganar todo desafío, pero sobre todo a sobresalir y dar lo mejor para sus fieles seguidores. Este disco es totalmente recomendable si te gusta oír cosas nuevas, en donde sus nueve canciones te dejaran con un placer auditivo.

Estaremos al pendiente de esta gran banda, esperando nuevo material y sorpresas para todos sus fans en México. Yo me llevo una gran satisfacción y más que nada un nuevo conocimiento en la escena del metal, que sin duda aún nos falta por descubrir muchas cosas y claro muchísimo más talento.

DIAMOND LANE

We live in a time in which Hard Rock and Heavy Metal are coming back with power and conviction; new bands, musicians and ideas born everyday and endless amount of aspirations flow with each project to form, jointly, great musical treasures on the metal scene. There are many bands apperaring every day but only a few mark our lives. There are bands with a huge history like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Motörhed and there are bands that are gaining a name with persistence and passion; examples of this are Saurom, Warbringer, In This Moment, and of course, Diamond Lane.

The true quality of a band is in its music, power and skills. Sometimes they just need a little help to make this dream come true, inclusively, more tan they imagined.

Today I will present to you a band born in Los Angeles, California formed by its leaders: Brandon Baumann (Singer) and Jarret Reis (Guitar). They start in 2001 not only with a new Project but with a modern version of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal to which many of us weren’t used to, but with a sound full of power, courage and determination; a totally new and destructive sound. Their sound was well received by the fans that have been loyal to their music. They are Diamond Lane and this Project is completed by: Ray Zhang (Bass), Frankie Lindia (Guitar) and Dave Vandigitty (Drums).

In 2005 they release they debut full-lenght album “Cut to the Chase” that includes 10 songs; in 2008  they release their EP “Save This City” (with 4 songs); in 2011 they release another full-lenght album called “World Without Heroes”; this is the time when they start to grow and be known for their work. Thanks to this, they play in various festivals and sello out their shows (the album has 10 songs)  and in 2013 they start working with FOX. Fox has used their album for commercials for the NBA, the NFL and the UFC and they are awarded artist of the month. That year they release another EP called “Sapphire” and they release a music video of the song that gives song to the album; they receive good comments and is loved by their fans (this EP has 5 songs). In 2014 the band presents to us their new album “Terrorizer” from which they recorded two videos (“The Enemy” and "Cheating Death"). The Enemy won a Top Pick on the Classic Rock Maganize. The album  generated good comments. This was a great year for Diamond Lane in which they showed that they are ready to beat every challenge, stand out and give their best for their fans. I highly recommend this album if you like to listen to new music because the nine songs included in the album will make you feel pleasure. 

We will follow this band and we will wait new material and surprises for all their mexican fans. Personally, I keep great satisfaction and a new knowledge about metal scene and, without doubt, there is much more to discover about metal music and so much more talent to find.

Hoy es martes! martes! martes de reseña y en esta ocasión voy a hablarles de una banda con un Heavy metal lleno de calidad, de poder y de técnica: Lords of the Trident.

Desde sus inicios en 2008 la banda generó buenos comentarios con canciones llenas de letras cómicas y de parodias pero que iban acompañadas de un Heavy metal poderoso y rápido que sorprendía a quienes lo escuchaban.

Lords of the Trident cuenta con dos producciones completas, 2 EP y un DVD con una presentación en vivo, lo que nos demuestra que ya cuentan con experiencia dentro del medio artístico y eso se refleja en sus presentaciones, en las que combinan el poder escénico con la comedia; además, interactúan con el público, lo que permite que los fans se sientan parte de la banda.

La banda ha sufrido muchos cambios en sus integrantes desde que comenzó su camino dentro de la escena metalera, pero, a pesar de tantos cambios, siempre han encontrado a los músicos ideales para seguir creando excelente música. Actualmente la banda está conformada por: Fang VonWrathenstein en la voz, Killius Maximus en la guitarra líder, Asian metal en la guitarra rítmica, Priest – Pontifex Mortis en el bajo y Dr. Dante Vitus en la batería.

En cada canción, la banda nos demuestra la calidad técnica de cada uno de sus integrantes. La voz de Fang combina las voz aguda al puro estilo de Rob Halford (Judas Priest) con la voz limpia que, junto con la música, crea una melodía extraordinaria; los guitarristas desparraman talento en cada una de las notas que tocan pero donde más se puede apreciar esa calidad es en los solos de guitarra, solos llenos de rapidez y melodía; el bajo explota en los oídos con cada nota, es un bajo fuerte lleno de técnica y la batería también es veloz y poderosa y aprovecha cada instante de las canciones, doble bombo y cambios rápidos de ritmo en las partes veloces y ritmos tranquilos y poderosos en las partes más calmadas.

Sin duda Lords of the Trident es una banda que promete mucho, si siguen con esa calidad musical llegarán a ser reconocidos en todo el mundo y, personalmente, me gustaría mucho asistir a un concierto de la banda y despeinarme al ritmo de sus canciones.

Escúchalos y disfrútalos porque el metal no sólo se escucha, también se siente.

Today is tuesday! tuesday! a review tuesday and I will present to you a band that plays a Heavy metal full of quality, power and technique: Lords of the Trident.

From their beginning in 2008, the band generated good comments with songs about comic things and parodies accompanied with a powerful and fast Heavy metal that surprised who listened to it.

Lords of the Trident has two full albums, two EP and a live DVD which shows us that they have experience on the stage, which can be seen on their presentations. In their shows they combine power and comedy; they even interact with the fans during their shows and that make them feel like they’re part of the band.

The band has suffered many changes on its members since they began their story but, despite those changes, they always found the right members to keep creating excellent music. Nowadays the band is formed by: Fang VonWrathenstein (Singer), Killius Maximus (Lead guitar), Asian metal (Rhythm guitar), Priest – Pontifex Mortis (Bass) and Dr. Dante Vitus (Drums).

On every song the band shows us the technique of each one of their members. Fang’s voice combines the high-pitched voice (Rob Halford style (Judas Priest)) with a clean voice that, along the music, create an extraordinary sound. Guitarists show their talent on every note they play but this is best appreciated on guitar solos, solos full of speed and melody. The bass explodes on our ears with every note, is a strong bass. And last but not least the drums, drums with a double bass drum full of power and rhythm changes.

There’s no doubt that Lords of the Trident is a band with a promising future and, if they continue with that musical quality, they will be known all around the world. Personally, I would love to watch them play live and headbang with their songs.
